Dizzee Rascal x Ben Drury x Nike ‘Tongue n Cheek’ Air Max 90
British rap star, and one of my faves, Dizzee Rascal has teamed up with fellow Brit, designer Ben Drury, on a crazy hot Nike Air Max 90 to coincide with the release of Dizzee’s upcoming LP ‘Tongue in Cheek’.
An immediate eye catcher, the soles are finished with the ‘Dirtee Stank Recordings’ fly beneath the shoe’s transparent sole with white trim on the outsole, midsole and behind the tongue. The shoe is made of such strong materials as white suede and soft leather with tactical perforations on the toebox and collar, while the pink tongue– embroidered across the left and right shoes in the distinctive letterform– captures the ‘Tongue N’ Cheek’ theme literally and figuratively.
The truly killer touch is the translucent Swoosh. The Max 90 will drop in limited numbers at 1948 on Saturday 18th September.
